About me
DBS CHECKED! My name is Josh, I am currently studying my BSc degree, working towards a 1st Class Honours, I am tutoring a number of pupils at the moment. I achieved 10 A*-As at GCSE, and have studied Maths, Geography, Biology and Chemistry to A-Level. The first lesson you book will be provided for FREE with absolutely no obligation to continue lessons thereafter. (Although I sincerely hope you would wish to continue!) I have a wealth of tutoring experience with pupils in London. With the necessary resources pre-printed worksheets, digital whiteboard, past papers, ex-students` exam answer sheets and equipment for small experiments - every lesson is made lively and interesting. The pace of learning of the student will be one of the main focuses of the tutor and, therefore, will be the only factor which decides the pace of the lessons - never too slow or too fast, but, just right. One of the main difficulties a student faces in a classroom is to adjust to the pace of teaching which varies depending on the response of so called `better` students. In an environment, where no question is a silly question, a whole new confidence is instilled at the beginning and a new pace of fun and learning begins. Soon, you will feel confident and begin to thrive, not only in the subject you are getting help in but, in every other area of your study. I always encourage students to challenge the ways they approach their academic work, which helps to increase their competitiveness when it comes to university applications. Any questions you may have, great or small, feel free to get in touch.
I have tutored many students in the past and have been able to see them succeed in their studies, here are some testimonials: TESTIMONIALS: Since Joshua has started tutoring my son for Maths I have noticed that he is going from strength to strength and his enjoyment of the subject is increasing all of the time. His teachers at school have also noticed his improvement and he is now a confident boy and top of his class. We are grateful for Joshuas support and I hope to continue working with him to bring out my sons top potential. Joshua has been a brilliant science Tutor for our daughter; understanding and being very patient with our daughters difficulty to concentrate. The consistency with homework is very impressive and he always gives us a review of how the lesson went. We have noticed great improvement in our daughters confidence with science which had never before been demonstrated. We are so glad we found Joshua and look forward to seeing further progression.``
