About me

Rima completed an MSc in Research Methods at City, University of London in 2014 following a BA in Politics (SOAS) and an MA in Legal and Political Theory (UCL School of Public Policy). She has just completed a 3-year post as a Q-Step PhD Teaching Fellow in the City Department of Sociology, and is currently in the writing-up phase of her doctoral dissertation. Her academic interests lie in the `measurement` of social identity, and her teaching expertise covers quantitative, qualitative and ‘mixed’ social and political research methods, the sociology of race, ethnicity and gender, political identification and engagement, and social and political inequalities.

I have three years of experience teaching a wide range of subjects to undergraduate, secondary and primary school students. I also hold an Introductory Certificate in Academic Practice with Associate Fellowship to the Higher Education Academy. I hold degrees from three affiliated University of London colleges and am therefore well placed to advise on university success and admission as well as essay and dissertation writing. I am a great choice if you are looking for a highly qualified and personable tutor with expertise in the social sciences and statistics.

I am willing to travel around South East and Central London and am highly flexible in terms of timings as I complete my doctoral disstertation.
