About me

I`ve been providing one on one tuition to students of all ages and abilities since 2015. I am fascinated by the English language, and firmly believe that both teaching and learning are closely intersecting paths of discovery. As such, I tailor every lesson to each students` needs and take great satisfaction in building a lasting relationship, in which learning is enjoyable and challenges are made less daunting. During the week, I work as a full-time Data Analyst for M&C Saatchi, a world-leading advertising and communications agency based in Soho, London. Here, a multitude of skills are continuously tested: problem solving within highly demanding contexts, logical processes, effective communication, report writing, and translating (Arabic-English). Despite the above, I love to teach during my spare time - it`s a passion I never want to lose.

For Maths, I give focus to number knowledge and problems, data handling, shape and space, and units and measures, as well as how best to approach the exam under timed conditions. For English, I pay particular attention to the expansion of vocabulary, comprehension skills, spelling, exam technique, and essay writing skills. Through these methods, I attempt to address any academic weakness and facilitate a learning plan to suit the particular demands of each school’s entrance exam. *** Tutor of GCSE English Literature and Language, Greater London Tutors: December 2014 ‐; Present I have delivered regular tuition for 1st and 2nd year GCSE students, covering a number of different curricula. This has demanded I maintain a broad command over the many set texts and transfer this knowledge In turn, I have tailored learning strategies that play to the students’ strengths and develop their weaknesses. In addition, I have provided confidence coaching and tuition for English as a foreign language. Such sessions cover English grammar, conversation practice for all abilities, the study of English literature, reading and writing techniques, skills for critical analysis, and creative writing practice.
