About me

I am a passionate historian and Gap Year student. I hold an offer to study history at Hertford College, Oxford starting in October 2018 and have just completed A Levels in English Literature, History and Politics, achieving 3 A*s. I am currently working as a Teaching Assistant at a Secondary School and thus have valuable experience marking, teaching and tutoring pupils between Years 9-13. Having only just completed my A Levels this summer, I know exactly what examiners look for and have considerable experience editing and proof-reading work as I have edited several student publications. I thus believe that essay technique is my forte and I possess a meticulous style that could be of great value to anyone who is trying to improve the way they write. I also have a bank of revision resources, many of which are my own, including countless exemplar essays, essay plans and thematic notes. These are well-structured and have proven beneficial to many. I am an avid reader and thus am able to draw upon my own research to aid my teaching of topics that I have not studied at school and am thus very versatile in my manner.

I have over 30 hours of tutoring under my belt and have experience teaching both GCSE and A Level English and Humanities, as well as experience with a wide range of exam boards.

I have very flexible availability as I am on my gap year so would be able to fit in around what was most convenient for you.
