About me
I am an art historian who has been working in the arts for more than ten years. I work in art interpretation and regularly interview artists and write about their work. I am also an accredited coach and have a clear and gentle teaching style which puts your experience, interests and preferences at the centre of the work we do together. My specialist area is 20th Century art and cultural history, though I am comfortable supporting your learning across the broad subjects of art history and contemporary art practice.
I have two masters degrees from the Courtauld Institute of Art and have worked at Tate, National Portrait Gallery, Charleston Farm House in East Sussex and Chichester Festival Theatre. For the last seven years I have developed and run training courses in cultural history, art history and exhibition curation and design and have worked with people from primary school age to adult learners.
Wednesday evenings, Thursdays including evenings and Friday day time in East Sussex or London. I would encourage gallery and museum visits forming part of the work we do together.
