About me
I am a composer and pianist based in Greenwich. I gained a 1st Class music degree from King`s College London, through which I studied piano at The Royal Academy of Music. I am a BAFTA scholar for the composition masters course at The Royal College of Music and have been working professionally as a composer and teacher in London for the last two years. I have a very comfortable home with an upright YAMAHA piano and a large tea selection. I`m very friendly and relaxed but cover a lot of ground, and quickly see great improvement in my students. I am also very patient in lessons, so am happy teaching young kids with short attention spans. I believe a good understanding of music theory is important at all levels, whether you`re studying for a theory exam or working on an instrument. Most of all it`s important that my students enjoy themselves; music is chosen carefully to suit their preferred music tastes and their specific goals on the instrument.
I`ve taught piano to kids and adults for several years and I`ve taught music theory from beginner level to grade 8 since 2015. I have also held a senior pastoral role at a residential summer school so have a wealth of experience and good rapport with kids aged up to 18. In addition to this, I have lead countless musical workshops to students around the world as musical director of the renowned vocal group, All the King`s Men.
Mornings and evenings during the week and any time at the weekend.
