About me
Hello! I`m a friendly doctoral student in the English department at the University of Oxford - I love English, and I love helping students understand its quirks, patterns, and nuances. If you`re looking for help with grammar or style, or if you just think your writing skills could use some fine-tuning, send me a message! I also have extensive experience with American standardized test preparation - particularly the SAT and AP exams. I have an MA from the University of Toronto, and my own research focuses on women`s voices in Old Norse-Icelandic poetry; I speak fluent French, and read Latin, Old English, Old Norse, and German.
10 years` experience as a tutor; I previously worked with Ivy Global in Toronto as a tutor for high school and university-level English and mathematics, as well as SAT and AP test preparation. I also worked as a teaching assistant at the University of Ottawa for two years (undergraduate English classes).
Evenings and weekends; some weekday availability if arranged in advance.
