About me
I am art historian who has worked in universities and research institutes in London and Paris. I have a PhD from UCL and a Masters from Oxford. I teach distance learners at degree level for the Open University (UK) and I am trained and specialised in online tuition. I use learner-centred teaching methods to develop my students into independent, critical and articulate individuals. In teaching children or young adults, I focus on fostering delight, fascination and curiosity for history, art and philosophy, using digitised historical sources, videos and music as well my own teaching materials. In teaching the humanities to adults, I teach not only how to achieve high grades, but how one can persuade others of one`s ideas in written assignments, oral presentations and interviews. These are skills I use to get work, get my research published and get accepted on international academic conferences. These are skills adults also need in a very competitive job market. My teaching would suit ambitious and precocious children, adult learners, or those working for a degree or applying for prestigious universities.
I am an associate lecturer for the Open University, UK. Previously, I worked as a research fellow for the Deutsches Forum für Kunstgeschichte in Paris, and as a PhD student for University College London. I have a Masters from the University of Oxford.
This can be negotiated. I can work weekends, and morning, afternoons and evenings.
