About me

Patient, empathetic and energetic, I am a graduate with experience teaching student of various ages. I achieved a First Class Honours in BA Classics at University College London, where I was recognised in the top 5% of my year and received awards and scholarships for my academic achievements. I was named in the top 10% out of 6,000 applicants in a prestigious, international academic competition which recognises originality, innovation and excellence (The International Undergraduate Awards). I have had my academic writing in the field of Classics published by academic journals. I am here to help with complex grammar structures, to engage more meaningfully with ancient texts and to help with exams techniques for GCSE and A-Level. I can help with analysing texts, organising your thoughts and expressing them coherently for Classics, English Literature and English Language subjects. I am qualified to teach EFL students and my extensive knowledge of Latin and other languages provides me with the right tools to simplify complex grammar, to explain tricky vocabulary and to make learning English an enjoyable process! Whether it`s Business English, IELTS/Cambridge English preparation or just social English, I am here to help. I take your preferred learning styles on board, and tailor my teaching to suit. In addition to help with specific subjects, I am keen help you develop good time management and study skills so that you can carry on progressing independently outside of our lessons. I am happy to provide guidance on exam and revision technique in the run-up to exams. I prefer for my lessons to take place at my home, which is within walking distance from the Bradford-on-Avon train station. However, if this is not possible for you, I am happy to discuss alternative places to have our lessons.
